Just watched it at work. Look's fairly similar to D2, so I'm excited for D3 to come out.

Bruce Lee returns and he's over 9000!!111111
About time we get the classic martial arts style monk from Nethack instead of the boring old priest-style monk.
This totally just guaranteed that I'm going to buy D3. Blizzard does it again.

Haha loving it.
Altho it feels like blizz is still stuck in starcraft mode. Everything blows up in a explosion of blood (including skeletons XD). They need to watch their blood pressure...

The one announcer guy showing off the d3 rune skill system was like "we know you guys all love explosions" and everyone roared with approval. Those sycophants hahaha.
I think the exploding palm skill is quite interesting; you can see the red mark over a mob that's bout to go critical and it seems if you just touch it it'll blow up along with whatever is nearby. Monk seems to be very much the worthy heir to d2 assassin class.
Reading the lore though about being able to strip the outer guise of a demon seems quite an interesting idea. Shades of 白骨精 -- taking quests from evil NPCs gogogo!
I just hope if there are evil NPCs that they'd be less recognizable as evil [Neehlak was rly bad at disguising that fact].

I never did like Diablo...maybe it was just the gameplay.
I remember the orig and D2, but.....idk, still got better things than D3.
Also, I'd like to purchase retribution, 10k.

The color scheme for assassins was horribad. Traps were annoying and who the hell used the actual combos? You either trapped, phoenix-heavyweaponed, or did a whirlwind build.
There's nothing to lose other than the glamorous name. >:0
I'm more excited about this than GW2 tbh.

THAT is a true smite monk ;P
I can't wait to get my hands on Diablo 3 once it comes out, I grew up playing the Diablo series (the original Diablo was the first game I ever played and got hooked on)

I'm surprised how different this is compared to the original monk from the hellfire expansion.

well, hellfire wasn't made by Blizzard. So I'd expect changes to the hellfire class.
